Edge profiles for window sills in ETICS and plaster systems
The ETICS closure with a higher sliding function
Product overview
Refined window sill edge profile with sliding function
The new window sill edge profile A 600 GS from BUG is easy to use and easy to install. The simple plug-in profile means that a quick tap is all it takes to install this aluminium edge profile on the window sill. The base profile and its springs, which are what enable the sliding function, are then clipped on or pushed on. In the following two videos you will find a simulation of the sliding function of the A 600 GS.
Thanks to the compensating springs in the aluminium housing of the base profile, the ever increasing effects of thermal length changes can be reliably absorbed. This makes the A 600 GS the ideal window sill edge profile for thermal insulation composite systems. Uncomplicated assembly and notching can also be implemented with this sustainable aluminium edge profile. Roller shutter guide rails are thus no longer a challenge.
Essential helper: safety clip for window sill ends with sliding function
Use the practical closure clamps to ensure that installation of the A 600 V is safe and reliable across all trades. The sliding closure is simply attached so that nothing can slip during the construction phase. This means that nothing will stand in the way of the plastering and paint work. Attach and clip on the clamp. Fastening is as easy as using a standard paper clip.
Benefits of ETICS window sill connection A 600 GS
Installation of the window sill edge profile for ETICS A 600 Gs
The multi-part, sliding closure A 600 GS is certified for water tightness under heavy rain. Easy notching or shortening is possible thanks to the quick plug-in solution. Simply attach the base profile, spring parts and upper profile – and the ETICS window sill edge with sliding function is ready.
This makes the new window sill edge profile sustainable and ecological
The entire ETICS window sill edge A 600 GS is made of aluminium – only the small spring parts are made of plastic. We are thus offering a new approach to sustainable construction with respect to resource conservation, the use of recycled materials and the expansion of possibilities for the recycling of materials.
At BUG, we are committed to sustainability and the continuous economic cycle of aluminium. The sliding edge profile A 600 GS combines safety, weather protection, design and ecology.

New edge profile design for eye-catching and sustainable buildings
Architectural features can be implemented through the unique design of the sliding edge profile A 600 GS. Special constructions such as an Engadine facade are also not a problem. The ETICS window sill edge is therefore particularly suitable for ecological and sustainable structure construction with a focus on ETICS and plaster systems or public buildings that place a high value on safety and sustainability. At the same time, the aluminium housing of the sliding ETICS edge profile with its round design variant can lend your structure a unique look.
With BUG, exceptional design does not mean compromising on safety. The newly developed A 600 GS window sill edge has been tested and verified to be watertight under heavy rain. Thanks to its integrated springs, the sill profile delivers increased safety by absorbing the temperature expansion of the window sill.
This window sill edge thus fits seamlessly into the range of high-quality edge profiles for sliding closures. It also optimises the plaster connector and the clinker end piece.
Can be easily and safely combined in the system
The extensive range of accessories in the area of window sill systems from BUG makes installation easier in various installation situations. The sustainable and sliding edge profile A 600 GS can be combined with practical accessories such as
- the screw-on seal AD 500,
- the window sill Standard or Softline Plus,
- the corner and butt connector
- and the pillar recess P 500.
FAQs about window sill edge profiles for thermal insulation composite systems
Would you like to find out more about the sliding and sustainable window sill edge profiles for thermal insulation composite systems? You will find answers below and on our page with our frequently asked questions about window sill systems.
With thermal insulation composite systems, the connection of components such as the window sill must be look at and planned carefully, as this directly affects the longevity and long-term functionality of the facade. For this reason, the components used must work in perfect harmony, both internally and when used in combination. The window sill edge profile must form a structurally and technically seamless unit within the thermal insulation composite system in order to ensure long-term and secure watertightness and to reliably compensate for thermal length changes. Using a solution like System 500, where all components already work in perfect synergy, makes the challenge of implementing thermal insulation composite systems one that can be easily overcome across all the various trades.
For thermal insulation composite systems and all other types of facade, sealing the window sill edge profile requires a suitable window sill system where all components are designed to complement one another. In the case of the A 600 GS window sill edge, the DFT 31 shaped gasket piece provides the watertightness under heavy rain. When a roller shutter guide has been integrated, the focus is always on the trade hole. This must be sealed in a manner that guarantees complete water tightness in all rain conditions. A second level of sealing is also recommended. You can use the screw-on seal from BUG to seal the back of the window sill to the window frame.
