Canopy system with long-term reliability
Canopy systems are used outdoors for many years and must withstand all weather conditions. This is why BUG focuses on superior waterproofing systems, ensuring moisture does not penetrate the roof or cause wood mould. The aluminium roofing is fitted with a drainage system as standard. Spacers provide the necessary contact pressure between glazing and seal.

During assembly, the wooden structure is first erected as a load-bearing element. The glass-aluminium roofing is then installed. The aluminium base profile with seal is installed first, then the glass and finally the aluminium clamping profiles with spacers. This allows for safe and quick installation.
BUG ensures that canopy systems incorporate innovative and reliable structural components. In our products, spacers or spacer bars are used to ensure a defined seal pressure against the glass edges.
This prevents the glazing from cracking or shattering by applying a continuous, uniform pressure to the glazing. Spacers and spacer bars are standard components of the BUG product range.
Aluminium roofing is mainly used as a cover above entrances or as a stand-alone structure for bicycles, terraces and carports. It is also suitable for conversion to an unheated conservatory system. Turn your terrace or balcony into a year-round living space. Canopy systems give you flexibility and independence from the weather.
