Our locations – 70 years of success

With four locations in Germany and Austria, BUG covers a comprehensive range of services – from production and further processing to logistics and sales. A highly networked system ensures efficient supply of BUG products to the market.

BUG Aluminium-Systeme looks back on a long tradition and dynamic development. Since our foundation in 1952, we have continuously developed and strategically expanded our locations. Today, BUG has two central production sites in Vogt and Bitterfeld, where aluminium profiles for high-quality system solutions are extruded. The network is complemented by a modern processing and logistics centre in Hettstedt, which ensures efficient further processing, storage and distribution. In addition, a sales office in Traun, Austria, strengthens our company’s international presence. As an independent distributor, Traun handles the entire added value supply chain for Austria and enables close cooperation with customers in the region. These locations form the foundation for BUG’s success and underline our innovative strength and quality in the field of aluminium system solutions.

Bitterfeld, Germany | Production site

Bitterfeld is home to BUG’s production of product solutions for window sills and flat roof systems as well as weather protection rails for wooden windows.

Hettstedt, Germany | Finishing & logistics distribution centre

Since 2021, the BUG location in Hettstedt has served as a finishing centre for window sill and flat roof systems and also functions as a logistics distribution centre for these product solutions. The new finishing and logistics distribution centre covers around 2,000 square metres of production space with seven processing plants and approximately 6,000 square metres of storage space for semi-finished products and goods ready for dispatch.

Traun, Austria | Service and finishing centre

The BUG sales office in Traun is also used as a processing site for all system profiles and houses a cutting centre for window sill profiles for the Austrian and southern German markets. With its system house and warehouse, the location specialises in window sill systems and accessories. Thanks to many years of experience, Traun can quickly deliver products from stock or custom-made items, or make them available for collection. This enables us to offer our customers in and around Austria high-quality products and a fast, reliable supply, thanks in part to our own supply chain through the STEP-G group of companies.

Vogt, Germany | Production site

BUG’s main location combines sales, development and engineering with the production of innovative product solutions. The focus is on window sill and flat roof systems, systems for wood-aluminium windows and facades, as well as weather protection solutions for wooden windows, conservatories and canopy systems. The core components are the extrusion press and the modern CNC machining lines in the manufacturing area for aluminium window frames.
