Installation of window sill end pieces
The general guidelines and standards for window sill end pieces apply to the installation of BUG plaster connectors on window sills. If plaster closures are not watertight under heavy rain, a second level of sealing is essential. Proper installation is essential to achieve water tightness under heavy rain.
Both plaster connectors can be notched out, for example, to integrate roller shutter guide rails. In this case, pre-assembly is necessary. When installing, ensure a deduction measurement of 2 millimetres per side.

Yes, the window sill end pieces from BUG are tested for water tightness under heavy rain. The aluminium plaster connectors A 400 and A 700 are tested for water tightness under heavy rain to 1,950 Pascal when installed correctly and only in combination with the DFT 40 shaped gasket piece.
Whether to choose a window sill plaster connector or a sliding closure depends on the facade and on your individual preferences. For an ETICS facade, you should definitely use a sliding end piece to avoid damage to the facade, as the sliding function compensates for the thermal length expansion. However, both types of closure profile can be notched out, can be installed easily and flush with the plaster and are thus highly suitable for plaster facades. For ETICS facades, we recommend using sliding window sill end pieces such as the sliding closure A 500 V.
