BUG OV 2000: The adjustable flat roof edge trim
The OV 2000 roof edge trim provides an optimal connection between the waterproofing membrane and the roof edge, ensuring a high level of watertightness. With its storm protection features and drip edge, the OV 2000 ensures exceptional protection for flat roofs.
Thanks to its tolerance-compensating bracket system, this roof edge trim is the perfect choice for high fascia boards on flat roofs. The system’s substructure can be optimally adjusted to the building substrate using articulated brackets.
BUG OV 85: The two-part flat roof edge trim with angle adjustment
The OV 85 two-part aluminium roof edge trims seamlessly integrate the connection strip for roof waterproofing. The corresponding clamping profile features a sealing profile and enables the integration of roofing membranes and welded sheets as edge connection strips. The edge strip can be removed at any time.
The BUG OV 85 flat roof edge trims are available in seven different fascia heights (80 mm, 100 mm, 125 mm, 150 mm, 174 mm, 200 mm and 260 mm). Accessories such as external and internal corners, butt connectors and water spouts complete the OV 85 system, which features seven types of verge cladding.
BUG OV 05: The two-part flat roof edge trim
The OV 05 two-part flat roof edge trim system is available in four standard fascia heights of 100 mm, 130 mm, 150 mm and 200 mm, with clip-on terminal strips available in individual lengths of 220 mm and 400 mm. Extending the edge strip from the waterproofing layer ensures a secure seal. The corner pieces (250 x 250 mm) and butt connectors are included with this flat roof edge trim profile.
BUG OV 21: The basic flat roof edge trim
The OV 21 flat roof edge trim is suitable for fascia heights ranging from 60 mm to 200 mm and can be used on either side by rotating it 180°. This makes it a versatile and flexible roof edge trim for flat roofs.
FAQs about flat roof edge trims
Here are the most frequently asked questions about aluminium roof edge trims.
The verge is the roof’s protective shield. This area is where different materials meet, and due to their varying degrees of thermal expansion under heat and cold, they can create a weak point in the roof and a potential entry point for moisture. Flat roof edge trims from BUG form a structural unit with the roof membrane, protecting the edge area from the prevailing weather influences. Aluminium flat roof profiles are an especially robust and durable solution.
Yes, aluminium roof edge trims are available with a thermo-lacquered or powder-coated finish, and can be ordered in any colour (according to the RAL colour chart). Because roof edge profiles are highly visible due to their exposed location at the top of the building, they are increasingly becoming a focal point in construction projects. Therefore, take the opportunity to perfectly match the flat roof edge trim system to the architecture of the facade.
For both initial cleaning after installation and subsequent cleaning, thermo-lacquered surfaces can be rinsed with warm water. If necessary, you can also add non-chlorinated wetting agents. Then rinse well with clear water.
For thermo-lacquered and powder-coated surfaces, it is essential to avoid using abrasive cleaners in cases of heavy soiling. Instead, use paintwork cleaners and polishes similar to those used in car care. This will ensure that the surface of your flat roof edge trims is not damaged.
