Integral windows
Wood-aluminium windows as an integral system
Product overview
Integral windows at a glance
Integral windows are characterised by their minimalist design and are ideal for modern facades that place high demands on design and functionality. With these window systems, classic integral windows, mullion-transom facades or fall protection solutions made of glass can all be implemented, as they blend seamlessly into the construction. Visually they resemble fixed glazing, but are fully functional windows. Integral windows also have a very narrow frame that lets in more light than conventional window systems.

The extension of the integral window: BUG Integral 3
The BUG Integral 3 window is the extension of the Integral series. This integral window from BUG combines space-saving aluminium frames with a high-quality, flush look and energy benefits.
The aluminium frames of the BUG Integral 3 are combined with functional integral window frames and narrow cover frames. This creates a lean appearance with concealed sashes. The depth offset of the frame profiles ensures that attachment of the sash frame is not visible and, if installed correctly, prevents the sash frame from sagging
Water tightness under heavy rain and thermal insulation for the BUG Integral 3 window
Thanks to the corner vulcanised seal, durable water tightness under heavy rain and a higher level of tightness are achieved. In addition, the seal guide provides a practical grid function during installation so that the seal cannot slip out and a partially covered stop seal is provided directly on the cover frame. In conjunction with high thermal insulating double or triple glazing, the BUG glass support and the corner vulcanised seal, excellent thermal insulation values can be achieved.
BUG Integral 3 with fall protection
BUG Integral 3 can be combined with the tested BUG glass fall protection (FrontProtect). With this combination, a double-sash rail is used to ensure the glass fall protection can continue to fulfil its full function – including fulfilling all safety requirements
FAQs about integral windows
Find out more about the application, installation and glazing of integral windows.
Integral windows are characterised by a narrow appearance and a concealed sash. This allows more light and sun to enter rooms and the windows sit flush with the facade.
The installation of the wood-aluminium window systems from the BUG Integral series is quick, practical and easy. Installation is carried out using rotary and rotary clip brackets. Elongated hole punches provide the necessary support. The window frame profile is fastened with DIN wood screws.
When installing the aluminium construction on the window frame, care must be taken to ensure that the aluminium shell can expand towards the wood without tension. In addition, rear ventilation of the space is important to ensure sufficient circulation, air exchange and protection against moisture and dampness.
The glazing of the integral sashes can be done either with fitted aluminium profiles or with factory-prefabricated aluminium frames. The aluminium sash profile also has a load-bearing effect on the glass pane and must therefore be placed on the glazing blocks in the blocking areas. Our accessories for wood-aluminium systems include customisable glass supports.
