Showing solidarity by doing good for others with a donation
Once again, the workforce at the STEP-G location in Vogt demonstrated their solidarity and social commitment. Employees from BUG and STEP-G came together under the motto “Bringing joy to yourself and others in challenging times”. During the recent fundraising campaign, the employees collected an impressive 620 euros. This sum has now been handed over to Brennessel e.V., a charitable organisation based in Ravensburg. Silke Schaich accepted the donation on behalf of the organisation, expressing great joy and gratitude.
For decades, employees of the group of companies have been collecting donations in cash and in kind at events and celebrations, in order to support social and charitable organisations in the region. The aim is to provide assistance to local people in need. When it comes to designing appealing fundraising campaigns, the only limit is your imagination. At the end of 2024, a raffle was held at the Christmas party at the Vogt location. The attractive prizes, which were packed in bags and labelled with raffle numbers, were handed out to the employees in a flash. Proceeds from campaigns like this always benefit a regional charity.
“As a company, we have a special responsibility to our fellow human beings. We want to make a positive contribution by donating to charitable and social organisations and institutions such as Brennessel e.V. We are committed to supporting our employees and the community within the scope of our resources. Together, we can shape a better future for the next generation and improve many people’s lives in the long term,” says Sebastian Sachs, Plant Manager at the STEP-G location in Vogt.
The charitable association provides advice not only for children and young adults, but also for adults who experienced sexual abuse in childhood. In addition to its counselling activities, Brennessel e.V. runs a variety of prevention projects aimed at raising awareness of sexual abuse.
