Certified window sill systems from BUG

03-04-2023 | BUG Aluminium-Systeme has developed a coordinated system of components for its easy-to-install, safe window sill system, the “BUG System 500”. BUG system components combined with the window sill ensure water tightness under heavy rain for an easy-to-install window sill solution.

The ever-increasing technical demands present new challenges for all trades during the installation process. The installation work requires a wide range of skills and in-depth expertise. This is becoming an increasingly important issue in light of the shortage of personnel and skilled workers on the labour market. In order to maximise assembly efficiency and save resources and time, practical product and application solutions are also becoming much more relevant. For this reason, simple, practical and safe product and system solutions are becoming increasingly important for building trades. These solutions should not be evaluated based solely on price, but rather in the context of their intended use and the duration of use, as well as the value they generate for the respective building. Professional installation also plays a vital part in this process.

In fulfilling its mission as a system-oriented solution provider, BUG Aluminium-Systeme (BUG) has implemented a technically ingenious, state-of-the-art solution concept for window sill assembly. At first glance, these are individual window sill accessories that have been tested for water tightness under heavy rain. They also feature innovative design elements, including during installation. Overall, the coordinated components come together to form a coherent concept, resulting in a safe and practical window sill system. All of the used accessories are tested alongside the window sill. Real-life application variants, such as integrated roller shutter guide rails, were also considered and tested.

The BUG System 500 is the ideal solution for simple and secure window sill installation that complies with standards and legislation.” The BUG System 500 window sill system has been tested and combines the A 500 V sliding closure, the H 500 D butt connector, the P 500 pillar recess, the AD 500 screw-on seal and the BUG window sill. This combination ensures that the system reliably absorbs the thermal expansion of the window sills. Thanks to a simple plug-in solution, the P 500 pillar recess allows for flexible response to dimensional changes. This creates a customised pillar recess from standard components. At the same time, the lengths can be adapted flexibly to accommodate changes in dimensions during construction. The system solution offers high-performance window sills for mixed components from several system houses, or for special solutions that have not been tested. Such specified, coordinated system solutions for direct installation on construction sites therefore ensure the building is strong and secure, with professional window sill installation. “The system tests carried out by ift Rosenheim underline the reliability and high performance of our products and window sill system solutions,” confirms Martin Götze, Director at BUG Aluminium-Systeme.
