New BUG window sill screw-on seal for secure seals
Thanks to its shape and material, the new AD-System 500 screw-on seal for window sills from the BUG brand offers significant improvements in processing and during the installation process. The weather drip on the seal makes it easier to fit the new screw-on seal via the window sill screw-on bar. This enables the external window sill to be easily and accurately attached to the window frame. If installed correctly, no rainwater can penetrate. The resulting flush seal between the window sill and the window frame ensures defined water drainage and prevents damage to the masonry.
The high quality standard of the EPDM seal and the self-adhesive and permanently adhesive sealing tape make the new AD System 500 window sill screw-on seal from BUG easy to install and seal. The optimised screw-on seal can be installed on window sills up to 3 metres without additional adhesives or sealants. Installation is carried out in a few simple steps: remove the protective film at an upward angle of a few millimetres; guide and position the screw-on seal with the unprotected adhesive tape onto the window sill; press the adhesive area onto the window sill; apply the screw-on seal to the edge of the window sill screw-on web with slight pressure and remove the protective film upwards at the same time. The window sill screw-on seal is now attached to the window sill screw-on bar. Thanks to the continuous 40 metre stocked packs, the installer can easily cut to size on site.
AD-System 500 can also be easily combined with the BUG butt connector H 500 D for window sills over 3 metres. The sealing joint must be bonded with a single-sided adhesive aluminium foil. This also requires safe and easy installation: Cut off the ends of the screw-on seal with rubber scissors, remove some of the protective film from the adhesive sealing tape on each side, press the ends of the adhesive sealing tape together and stick them to the aluminium foil. The aluminium foil stabilises the seal and can absorb the tensile load during seal installation. Then, as usual, the window sill screw-on seal is attached to the window sill in preparation for the window sill installation.
Regardless of whether the window sill is up to or over 3 metres: All system components of the window sill and the associated accessories are coordinated in detail at BUG. The AD System 500, the second sealing level and the sealing of the trade hole can prevent damage to the masonry. This means that the tested water tightness under heavy rain in the system is permanently guaranteed when installed correctly. The permanently adhesive sealing tape enables quick and easy window sill installation for sustainable and value-generating construction.
