BUG presents newly developed pillar recess P500

10-02-2021 | The BUG Aluminium-Systeme brand presents the newly developed P 500 pillar recess. This new product from BUG offers a simple solution for installing window sills at different depths on building facades, including on pillars and wall projections.

Architects often plan special architectural features for new buildings. This also includes pillars and wall projections. However, it is precisely these special features that present processors with major installation challenges in most cases. Until now, complex, customised solutions had to be created. Meticulous planning and measuring, welding, additional grinding work, and calculating installation tolerances on the construction site resulted in long production and delivery times, often leading to delays and even project completion downtime.

BUG has addressed this issue by developing a technically advanced aluminium system solution for pillar recesses for window sill installations at various construction depths. Architects and planners benefit from the simple and uncomplicated planning of the P 500 pillar recess.

Processors appreciate the quick and easy installation. Thanks to the P 500 pillar recess, unscheduled assembly tolerances and the resulting construction delays are a thing of the past. It can be assembled in production or directly on the construction site. No complex grinding or welding is required to assemble it. Saw to size, join, secure – that’s the motto.

The highlight of the P 500 pillar recess is a plug-in system specially developed by BUG consisting of the BUG window sill, the H 500 butt connector and the P 500 plaster element including filling piece. The P 500 pillar recess’s closely coordinated system components offer architects, installers and building owners a tested and certified solution that ensures water tightness under heavy rain.

Thanks to the different colours of the individual components, architectural features and a sophisticated design are easily possible. In addition to anodised colours, conventional powder-coating colours can also be used.
