Hotel and restaurant: A place to feel good and enjoy in Reutlingen

The Hotel Achalm in Reutlingen impresses with its diagonal position on the property, which allows the best views from all rooms towards the Swabian Alb and Stuttgart. The new building comprises three floors of rooms on an open, bright ground floor, which includes the reception, lobby, smoker's lounge, catering areas and seminar rooms. The remaining rooms and the wellness area are located behind the edge of the slope along the green castle wall, creating a harmonious integration into the landscape.

The wellness area with an outdoor pool in front is also integrated into the slope and offers a special attention to detail thanks to the glazed pool sides. The materials which were used in the hotel, includes wood, natural stone and naturally pigmented colours, correspond to the nature and create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The wooden panelling made from silver fir profiles from the Black Forest is both a balcony railing and a symbolic means of representing the tree trunk cut horizontally in the sawmill.

The Achalm Restaurant was demolished down to the basement and the rear retaining wall against the slope and rebuilt. Access is via a spacious staircase and an open-air terrace with a magnificent view of Reutlingen, Eningen and the Swabian Alb. The dining rooms are grouped around the terrace and offer space for around 180 guests. The materials, including parquet flooring, glass, stainless steel fittings and a red brick floor, create an elegant and inviting atmosphere.

The entire ensemble of hotel, sheepfold and restaurant utilises the excellent location on the Achalm and offers a place where people can meet and feel at home.
